Citrus Blossom White ~ A Tea Review

It seems that each day brings it’s own challenges, ups and downs, happy and sad, sunny and dreary… Some days I come to the tearoom and my tastebuds are craving a Yorkshire Gold, A PG Tips, or my tried and true favorite, Scottish Breakfast.  Some days, however, I arrive and my tastebuds can’t overpower my emotions. Life’s challenges are just a bit to much that day.  This tea was made for that day! It’s bright, it’s cheery and it’s aroma lifts the spirit and calms the soul.

The Review ~  This White tea has a sunny, bright bouquet and a lovely pale liqueur in the cup. Even before brewing, it’s aroma is intoxicating and energizing! China Mutan White Tea combined with corn flowers, rose petals, marigold petals, orange pieces and essence of natural oranges makes a beautiful palette, a true joy to the eye and nose! Citrus Blossom White is a perfect way to boost your mood and your health as it’s full of antioxidants and low on caffeine. A smooth cup without any bitter after tones, this cheery cup of tea is a definite pick me up! I recommend this tea wholeheartedly!

Liquor: Lovely Pale
Sweetness: Naturally Mild Sweetness
Bitterness: Low
Aroma: Citrusy with floral undertones
Taste: Fruity/Flowery, more pleasant as our palate adjust.
Cream: Not recommended
Sugar:  Use honey instead
Brewing Time: 3-5 Minutes
Temp: 190-205º F (Just short of a boil)

We are expecting our order of Citrus Blossom White any day now, so if life’s challenges are getting you down, come to the tearoom for a little sunshine and encouragement in a cup.

Let us know your thoughts on this Citrus Blossom White below.

Indian Dinner Night! SundApril 9th

We are so excited for Indian Dinner Night!  This is absolutely the best indian food in Florence. If you have not been to one of our Indian Dinner nights you are seriously missing out…

The spice!  To spicy?  No, while we enjoy spicy food, we prefer it to be flavourful, an event to be savored not endured.  There are condiments that can add a significant amount of spicy to your plate if you desire, but if not we’re sure you will enjoy the amazing flavours of India.  We offer a vegetarian & a spicy option.  Please let us know in advance of any vegetarian needs.

Lovejoy’s Supports Local Charities

Lovejoy’s takes great pride in supporting our local charities. The quote above by Winston Churchill is an excellent description of who we are and strive to be as both an organization and as individuals in our local community.  We not only strive to make a difference in the quality of our lives but also the lives of those around us by supporting local charities that have hands and feet.  What do we mean by that?  There are many organizations that simply give to meet tax requirements for write offs, but the roots of our giving run much deeper… We look for organizations with good reputations, who are accountable with the funds they are given, and who are making an impact in practical ways.

In the past year Lovejoy’s has had the pleasure to support the Local Boy’s and Girls Club, Zechariah’s Hope, and The Humane Society.  These three charities touch on the fabric of life in many ways, and are great organizations making a difference in community.

“A waterfall starts with one drop of water, and look what becomes of that.” Bryce Courtenay
In the grand scheme of things we know that our support so far has been small, but we have seen it at work, making a difference in the lives of people of all ages, ethnic groups and ways of life.  So we are excited to see the difference we make as we continue to grow.

Thank you all, because your continued support has enabled us to become a waterfall.  We look forward to seeing you at the Tea Room.
