Made-in-England Dunoon Ceramics has been producing its world-famous teacups, mugs and teapots in Staffordshire England, for more than 40 years. Dunoon’s craftsmen use slip casting instead of conventional ‘jollying’ machine-made techniques. This is to ensure a finer, lighter-weight mug.
To qualify as bone china, each cup or teapot is made with a combination of fine clay and bone ash. Only liquid clay is used by Dunoon for its fine bone china mugs. Once the mugs are set in molds, they are finished by hand. All designs and glazes are applied by hand, too, making each of Dunoon’s mugs, teacups and saucers and teapot sets truly unique. We have gorgeous tea cup and saucer sets by Dunoon with hand-painted designs including strawberries, flowers, cats and guitars. While sturdier than other bone china brands, please hand wash.
Because of the exceptional heirloom quality of Dunoon hand-finished fine bone china mugs, teapots and teacups with saucers, they are considered splendid gifts for holidays, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and other special occasions.
